Denny graduated from Ontario High School and later attended OSU Mansfield. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran.
After his military service, Denny built a career as a public accountant, serving individuals and businesses throughout the Mansfield area. He was an avid Ohio sports fan and especially enjoyed spending time on the golf course with friends. He was a member of the Mystic League, which played at Twin Lakes, and also served as Secretary at Twin Lakes. He was a loving and supportive father and grandfather.
Denny was a member of Mansfield Free and Accepted Masons #35 and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was a dedicated member of Baku Grotto, serving as the Monarch, a member of Amvets #26, VFW Post #3494, American Legion Post #16, and Vietnam Veterans of America. He was also a Past Exalted Ruler of the Mansfield Elks and was honored as a Kentucky Colonel.
Denny will be remembered for his even-keeled personality and sense of humor, he will also be remembered for his dedication to his community, his country, and the many organizations and friendships that enriched his life.
He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Rhonda Berry; daughter Jill (Benjamin) May; grandson, Tyson James Dancy; step grandchildren, Bethany (Jordan) Proctor, Joshua May, Alex (Jessica) May, and Benjamin J. May; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Berry, Jeffrey (Carol) Berry, and Steven (Laura) Berry; and sister, Elizabeth Berry; brother-in-law, Craig (Debra) Fox and many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
