Donald W. 'Tudor' Atkins, age 51, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon October 18, 1999 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Mr. Atkins was born July 3, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio living most of his life in the Mansfield area. He was a guitar player for a local band 'Music Explosion' and a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Era.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jesse & Melanie Atkins of Texas; a daughter and special friend, Julie Atkins and Eric Porter of Mansfield; his mother, Pauline Atkins of Mansfield; a granddaughter, Olivia; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill & Michelle Atkins of Lexington; a niece and her spouse, Dawn & Rob Kaman; and a special friend, Angela Miller of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Atkins.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be held on Friday October 22, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor David Atkins. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
