
Donald A. Beaver, 84, of Port Richey, Florida, died early Sunday morning September 12, 2004 at home after a brief illness. He was born January 3, 1920, in Beavertown, Washington County, Ohio to Daniel and Julia Dillon Beaver. He lived most of his life in Mansfield, moving to Florida in 1977. Mr. Beaver retired form Conrail Railroad and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a life member of the VFW Post #9943.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gladys I. Beaver; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry D. and Susan Beaver, Sr., Mansfield and Thomas L. and Glenna Beaver, New Port Richey, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Lana H. and Ernie 'Cliff' Mulvaine, Bucyrus, Ohio; grandchildren, Thomas D. and Robin Beaver, Susan and William Hunter, Laura Taylor, Carolyn Connoly, Joann Snell, Jerry Dale Fullwider, Kelly Fullwider, Jerry D. Beaver, Jr., Stacey Arnold, and Anita Beaver; 21 great grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Neva and Robert Owens, East Liverpool, Ohio and Avis Sunderman, St. Mary's, West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight sisters, four brothers, and three granddaughters, Mona and Robin Beaver and Lana Ann Fullwider.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial and military graveside rites will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
