Donald John Closson, 82, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away December 28, 2024, in Mount Vernon, Ohio. John was born April 29, 1942 to Donald Devur Closson and Lottie Mae (Strohminger) Closson. He was a graduate of Ontario High School. In his younger years, John owned a ’66 Corvette Stingray that he enjoyed working on.
John worked for DSL and then Graham Ford of Mansfield.
John is survived by his daughter Samantha Bell of Norway, ex-wife Ginger, nephew Rick Musick (Karla) of Mount Vernon, OH, and grand-niece Krystin Stotts (Joe).
He is preceded by both his parents, his wife Mary Lou (Gardner) Closson, and his sister Donna Mae Musick.
Per John’s wishes, there will be no services. He will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park of Ontario beside his wife Mary Lou.
