Donald W. Coleman, 87, of Ontario, passed away early Thursday morning, January 18, 2018, at UH Samaritan Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1930, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Harry and Mary Coleman.
Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War receiving 2 bronze stars. He was a very hard worker and retired from Ohio Brass after 34 years of service. He enjoyed taking care of his house plants and lived at Ontario Pointe, which he considered his second home.
He is survived by three children, Brenda Coleman, Miranda Bradley and Amelia Coleman; two grandchildren, Serena Bradley and Teri Winfrey; and a son-in-law, Bob Bradley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Arlene Coleman.
A memorial service conducted by Pastor Phil Green will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Real Life Community Church, 670 Kentucky Avenue, Mansfield. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park with military honors presented by the U.S. Army.
