
Donald Jay Fox, 85, of Ashland, died Saturday, October 27, 2007, at his residence. Born January 30, 1922, in Ashland, he was the son of Paul E. and Mary Catherine McManamy Fox. He was a farmer his entire life and dearly loved what he did. Donald also loved mushroom and deer hunting and enjoyed his visits to Montana and family in Virginia.
Surviving are his wife, Sherry Windbigler Fox; a step-daughter, Amy Mark Cathers of Ashland; a step-son, Joe Lynn Dovenbarger of Bucyrus; five grandchildren, Deeana Dovenbarger, April Cathers, Taylor Deal, Amanda Lester and Alissa Lester; three brothers-in-law, Jerry Windbigler of Loudonville, Terry Nancy Windbigler of Texas and Richard Melba Windbigler of Mansfield; a sister-in-law, Nancy Phil Riess of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an aunt, Esther Carnes.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007, at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Ben Roby. Burial will follow in Vermillion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or to the Ashland County West Holmes Career Center.
