Donald Glaze

Donald G. Glaze, age 66, of Mansfield, Ohio, died Saturday August 19, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness. Don was born July 24, 1940 in Delaware, Ohio, the son of Donald Paul and Catherine Stack Glaze. Don was a retired Production Supervisor with the Breitinger Company and worked for 30 years as Manager of Frizzell's / Geyer Supermarket. Don was a member of The Owls, Moose and Sons of Herman and was a graduate of St. Peter's High School. Don was a loving husband and father as well as a proud and caring grandfather. He was outgoing and friendly and always willing to help others. He loved to golf, fish, and bowl and spend time with his family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jane Breitinger Glaze of Mansfield; two daughters and son in law, Dawn and Brad Weaver and Ann Glaze all of Mansfield, his grandchildren; Chad Hutcheson, Shane Hutcheson and Bailey Weaver all of Mansfield and Brandon Weaver of Mt Gilead; one great grandson, Hunter Hutcheson of Mansfield and his loyal companion: Noel. Three sisters and brothers in law; Mary and Lloyd Maxey, Peggy and Ray Loughman and Maureen Simmons all of Mansfield; one brother and sister in law, Mike and Katie Glaze of Lexington, Ohio. Surviving also are his brothers in law and sisters in law; John and Linda McLaughlin, Marty and Vicki Breitinger, Mark and Mary Breitinger, Milo and Kim Breitinger and a sister in law, Anita Smith. Surviving also are numerous nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, father in law and mother in law, William and Eloise Breitinger of Loudonville, Ohio and a brother in law, Red Simmons.

Friends may call Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors from 4 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 24, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Father Keith McCormack. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or to a charity of choice.
