
Donald Paul Neal, 57, of Mansfield died Tuesday afternoon, February 18, 2003 at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Neal was born November 26, 1945 in Mansfield to Roy and Violet Weuthrich Neal. He retired from Sprint in Mansfield after 25 years of service and most recently, worked at SBC Ameritech. Don was secretary of the Lexington 24 Hour Group. A Vietnam veteran, Don served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, John D. Neal, an engineering student living at home, and Brian and Wendy Clink Neal of Tempe, Arizona; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Connie Neal of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Carl and Nanette Neal of Spokane, Washington; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sue Neal of Mansfield and Rita and Jimm McElroy of Lexington, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Paul Allen; and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Herb Gouge.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Friday, February 21 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Carl Cunfer will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Military graveside services will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
