Donna Kathleen Cooper

Donna Kathleen Cooper, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Kingston of Ashland. Born on March 3, 1937, in Pikeville, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Olive (Addis) Mounts.

Donna was a kind, loving, and funny woman whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. She had a zest for life that shone through in her many passions — she enjoyed shopping, traveling, and crocheting, but above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially loved cooking for her family, filling their lives and homes with comfort and care.

She is survived by her loving children: daughter, Diane Cooper; and sons, Dennis Cooper and Kenneth (Gina) Cooper, Jr. She also leaves behind a proud legacy in her grandchildren: Dennis (Shannon) Cooper, Jr., Deidra Johnson, Ashlee Cooper, Mallory Henry, Trevor (Julia) Johnson, Lyndsee (Aaron) Cooper, Natasha (Jeremy) Maynard, Skylar (Niles) Christensen, Kale Christensen, and Colton (Francesca) Holcomb; as well as ten great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to her heart.

Donna is also survived by her siblings: Johnnie Rose, Richard (Becky) Mounts, and Carl (Sharon) Mounts; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Cooper; her parents; and three siblings: Gloria Cox, Kenneth Mounts, and Dave Mounts.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial contribution to Richland County United Way in Donna’s memory. Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield is honored to serve the Cooper family.
