Donna Smith

Donna E. Smith, 82, of Crestline, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Galion Community Hospital after an extended illness. Born January 22, 1924 in Cowlington, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Thomas W. and Grace Pruett Summers. She had attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crestline.

She is survived by five children, Ronald Smith of Crestline, Denby Smith of Mansfield, Tavia Smith of Crestline, David Smith of South Carolina, and Carrie Ruby of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Curt and Cleo Summers of Oklahoma, and Arvin and Wilma Summers of Tennessee; three sisters and brother-in-law, Imogene Laffner of Arizona, Betty and Bob Brickner of Nevada, and Dorothy Squire of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Smith in 1983, and her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, N. Thoman St., Crestline conducted by the Very Rev. Michael Schelling and Deacon William Rall. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Ashland Memorial Park. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
