It is amazing how close you can feel to someone you never actually met face to face.  Donna and I bonded over the old house at Reeds Mill.  Her family originally owned it and mine owned it for over 100 years.  It was my father's family home.  We both loved it dearly.  That is how our friendship started, but it grew from there.  I was shocked to hear of her death just yesterday.  I have been having health issues myself and had not stayed in touch the way I should have.  I am comforted that we ended our last conversation with virtual hugs.  You are missed my friend, but I am glad that you are reunited with your loved ones and most especially you sorely missed, beloved husband.  We will finally meet face to face in heaven someday.

I never met Donna in person but she truly became one of my best friends through emailing over many years.  We met when I was researching my husband’s Fisher family and I’d found one of many great genealogy posts about this family.  I always admired the fact that she did most of her research before there was an internet and what a lot of work that was.  We emailed back and forth every day for years.  Many times when I asked her for advice, whether it had to do with genealogy or other things she was always willing to help me. We both shared love of family and our dogs.  She often shared her feelings with me about her family. I know how much she enjoyed her family and having lots of fun going out with her daughter, Kim. She shared with me how the two of them laughed and had great times together. Also, her grandson, Chris was very special to her.  I will never forget my good friend, Donna. 

Sincere and heartfelt sympathy to all her family and friends.  She will be deeply missed.

RIP Donna.  I know Bill Sr was glad to see you again...what a birthday present for him.  Prayers for the family.

My condolences to the family.  Donna was my neighbor for 15 years and she and her hubby became known as Grandma and Grandpa Tivener.  They had a one of a kind love for each other that was so genuine.  I am not surprised she chose Grandpa T’s birthday to join him and their daughter in heaven.  Her twinkling eyes and infectious smile will be forever imbedded in my mind when I think of her.  It was a privilege to have known her.  Heaven has gained another angel.  Rest In Peace beautiful lady.

My heartfelt prayers to the family for their loss.   Donna was a special loving cousin to me and especially to my brother Wayne Kemp who recently past.  Donna always kept in touch thru email since we lived apart providing family stories including lots of pictures.  I will miss her emails but I know she's laughing and dancing with brother Wayne.
