Dora Scott

Dora Ella Scott, 82, passed away early Saturday morning, May 14, 2011 at Country Meadows Care Center. She was born July 18, 1928 in Fredericktown, Ohio, to the late Ida Long and Russell Harrison. An area homemaker, she loved crocheting and made many dolls, donating them to the Toys for Tots program. Dora was a member of Quest Worship Center formerly Bellville Church of God for many years and was an avid reader of the Bible. She found great joy in spending time with her family-especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Chuck Wheeler of Mansfield, Wendy Krieger of Mentor, Rex Debbie Scott, Jr. of Mansfield, Harvey Barbara Scott of Lexington, Gary Rita Scott of TN, David Scott of Mansfield and Randy Terry Scott of Mansfield; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Jeretta Stair of Mansfield and Judy Ken Byrd of TN; two brothers, Fred Kathy Harrison of TN and Jim Harrison of CA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rexford Scott, Sr.; sons, Darryl and Timothy Scott; sister, Pat Gilcrest; granddaughter, Karey Scott; and great-grandson, Caleb McMillen.

Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m. in the Quest Worship Center with Pastor Darrell Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
