
Dorothy F. Gerber, 83, of Mansfield, died Tuesday afternoon, November 7, 2006, at Manor Care Health Services in Westerville. Born November 26, 1922, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Viola N. Wagaman Kelley. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and had previously served as an elder and deacon. Dorothy was a member of Baku Grotto Auxiliary, Ruth Chapter #17, Order of the Eastern Star and the Lady Shrine Club. Along with her husband, Louis J. Gerber, she was the owner and operator of Gerber Dry Cleaners.
She is survived by two daughters, Penny Bob Weldon of Lexington, KY, and Pamela Bill Murphy of Westerville; a son, Richard L. Gerber of Mansfield; daughter-in-law, Ann Gerber of Dublin; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Gerber, son, Nick J. Gerber, parents, three sisters, Betty Sands, Ida Sprunger and Mary Booth, and three brothers, Lloyd, Eugene and Charles Kelley.
Private services will be observed by the family with Rev. Dennis Allison officiating. Private burial will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
