
Dorothy M. Hiller, 94, of Ashland, died early Wednesday morning, June 30, 2010 at Versailles Health Care Center. Born November 2, 1915, in Trumbull County, she was the daughter of Frederick F. and Jennie Abbott Winger. On October 10, 1945, she married Raymond Hiller and together they enjoyed farming in Ashland. She was a member of the Milton Neighbors, Hillers Community Club and was a 4H Leader. Dorothy was an active member of First Church of the Brethren where she was a retired deacon and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the church sewing circle.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jennie and Theodore Baltes of Versailles; two sons and a daughter-in-law, George Hiller and Raymond and Phyllis Hiller, all of Ashland; four grandchildren, Matthew Baltes, Katie Baltes, both of Versailles, Ryan Hiller of Virginia and Jerod Jayme Hiller of Indiana; one great-granddaughter, Kaelynn Hiller of Indiana; a sister-in-law, Eula Robert Newton of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Edward Hiller on December 14, 1988; parents; six sisters, Ida Stout, Cyrene Mowrey, Isabel Barber, Florence Pinski, Mildred Ritter and Betty Winger; and two brothers, John Winger, Sr. and Ivan Winger.
Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Don Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
