
Dorothy J. Miller, 84, died at home on Saturday, July 9, 2005. She went to the Lord in the presence of her family. Born January 23, 1921 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of Calvin and Julia Weiland. Dorothy had lived at 328 Eby Rd. in Shiloh, Ohio for the past 30 years before she became ill with cancer and moved to Michigan with her son. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, participating in choir, and in bell choir. She was a skilled weaver and worked for the artist Eleen Auvil of Romeo, Michigan.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Cameo Miller of Shepard, Michigan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodger and Connie Miller of Derby, Kansas, and Russell and Carol Miller of Shelby Twp., Michigan; four grandchildren, Chad, Curtiss, Aaron, and Kelly Miller; two brothers and sister-in-law, Stan Weiland, and Lester and Lois Eckart, all of Akron, Ohio; and nieces and nephews. She loved all of her family, extended family, friends, and neighbors very much and will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd R. Miller of Bath Twp., Ohio; her second husband, Donald C. Miller of Mansfield, Ohio; and one brother, Dick Weiland of Mississippi.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12. 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bath Cemetery, Bath, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
