
Dorothy A. Seifert, 91, of Mansfield died July 28, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. On Monday afternoon, she went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born January 1, 1912 in Mansfield to Frank W. and Alvina Sprunger Baumberger and was a lifelong area resident. Dorothy retired from General Motors where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. Dorothy was an avid gardener, enjoyed sewing and caring for elderly friends and family.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul W. and Lynn Seifert of Butler, Ohio, Rev. Dr. David J. and Ruth Seifert of Modesto, California and Sam and Anne Seifert of Lexington, Ohio; a daughter, Karen Nibouar of Mansfield; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Sean Seifert, Matthew and Jennifer Seifert, Amy and Rob Harris, and Matthew Potts, all of Mansfield, Jon and Kristin Seifert, Jacinda and Robert Carpenter and Susanne and Cliff Harper, all of California, and Nicholas Seifert of Lexington; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Crandall and Catherine VanValkenberg of Mansfield; brother, Frank Baumberger, Jr. of Lucas, Ohio; two stepsisters, Violet Bullock and Alice Mae Willison; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Barbara Rosser, Sarah Phillips, and Sadie. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul John Seifert in 1981; two brothers, Johnny and Arthur Baumberger; and stepbrothers, Ralph, Alvin and Clifford.
Memorial services, conducted by Rev. Dr. David J. Seifert and Rev. David Pound will be held at Berean Baptist Church, Friday, August 1 at 5:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the family home following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Berean Baptist Church or Shelter Cove Community Church in Modesto, California.
