Born April 15, 1968, in Grand Prairie, Texas, Doug was the beloved son of Arthur and the late Bertha (Pearce) Hulcy. A man of deep faith, Doug was a devoted Christian whose life was shaped by his beliefs, his love for his family, and his many passions.
Doug was an avid movie watcher and lifelong TV buff, with a special love for the classics of the '80s and '90s. His impressive collection of action figures from those eras reflected not only his nostalgia but also his appreciation for storytelling and pop culture. A true fan of both Marvel and DC universes, Doug never missed a superhero film or comic release.
He was also a voracious reader, with a particular fondness for the works of Tom Clancy and other authors who filled his imagination with intrigue and adventure. When he wasn't lost in a book or immersed in a film, Doug enjoyed computer games, where he could dive into digital worlds with the same enthusiasm he brought to everything he loved.
Above all else, Doug was a family man. He was fiercely loyal and loving, always ready to help or simply be there for those he cared about. His children were his greatest pride, and he carried the memory of his late daughter, Kimberly, close to his heart.
Doug is survived by his son, Spencer Hulcy; daughter, Bethany (Cameron) Loveless; his father, Arthur Hulcy; and his brother, Michael Hulcy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Hulcy, and his daughter, Kimberly Hulcy.
Per Doug’s wishes, no services will be held.
