
Dwayne J. Bond, Jr., 18, of Lucas, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007. Born June 26, 1989, in Mansfield, he was the son of Dwayne J. Bond, Sr. and Rita Mays Milligan. Dwayne was just in his Senior Year attending Pioneer Career and Technology Center. He was studying computers and Technology, and had aspirations of going to DeVry to further his education upon graduation. A dedicated young man, Dwayne was always attentive to detail whether it be work, or play. Dwayne will be forever remembered as a gentle, kind, and caring boy who loved his family. His little brother looked up to him so proudly, and his family loved him very much. His family will cherish the dear memories they have of his late night phone calls to friends, video games, and the attributes that made him who he was.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Rita and Chris Milligan of Lucas; father, Dwayne Bond, Sr. of Mansfield; three year old brother, Alexander Milligan of Lucas; grandparents, Darrel and Reba Mays of Maple Heights, who loved him like he was their own; special aunt and uncle, Richard and Tammy Mays of Mansfield; special cousins, Heather and Nathan Mays of Mansfield; special extended family, Craig, Nikki and Meadow Milligan of Pennsylvania; grandparents, Leon and Jolene Milligan of Mansfield, and Don and Altha Lozier of Galion; cousins, Cody and Bruce Lozier of Galion; aunts and uncles, Cynthia Bond of Soldier, Kentucky, Larry Bond, Jr. of Soldier, Kentucky, and Tim Lozier of Galion; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends, Brandon, Ethan, Tony, Luke, Nathan, Andrew, and Devin; and special teacher, Mrs. Marianne Ritchie. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry J. Bond; great-grandparents, Alvin and Irene Stamper, Ottie Mays, and William Mays; and great-aunt, Ruby Knipp. Dwayne's family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude and thanks to a very special high school buddy, Chris, for all his efforts in helping the victims at the scene of the accident on Wednesday.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Brian Phillips and Pastor Gary Lambert. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Dwayne's name at any Empire Affiliates Credit Union.
