Earline ""Lene" " Morris

On Monday, September 28, 2015, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother was touched by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to come home and rest. Earline "Lene" Morris, 81, born April 8, 1934 in Athens, Alabama, was the daughter of Lee and Alegea Bass. Lene retired from Independent Towel after 38 years of service. A kind lady, she enjoyed fishing, playing cards, bingo, and cooking. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Applonia "Mack" Morris Sr. of Mansfield; daughters, Caroline Henderson of Mansfield, Albertine McDonald of Dayton, JoAnn Fletcher of Mansfield, Maxine Lindsay of Mansfield, and Terissia Leech of Mansfield; ten grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Swan of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Earline was preceded in death by her son, Applonia "Mack" Morris Jr.; two brothers; and one sister.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the New Life Baptist Church, 538 Wayne Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Clarence Sanderfer. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
