Edwin Brown

Edwin R. Brown, 67, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly, Sunday, October 22, 2006 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born August 22, 1939 in Mansfield, he was the son of Lawrence and Ida Mizer Brown. He retired from Swifty Gas on Route 42 North, and had also worked at Mansfield Tire. Mr. Brown enjoyed spending time with his family and pet, Brutus, and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eliza Tackett Brown; four daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie and Jerry Tucker, Laurie Clark, Kristy and Leland Tabor, and Teresa and Manfred Perseitz, all of Mansfield; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Joshua, Cody, Jordan, Loural, and Dakota; numerous nieces and nephews; and aunt, Mabel Martin of Millersburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Marcia Mack, and Janice Fraley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Rev. Floyd Scaggs. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, or Hanna Road Church of God.
