
Eileen V. Blumenschein, of 512 Hillcrest Drive, Ashland, died Sunday, September 16, 2007, at Hospice House following a brief illness. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Myron and Mary Lucille Hindley Bemiller. An Ashland resident for most of her life, Eileen was a Real Estate Agent and a member of the Ashland Board of Realtors and the Country Club of Ashland. She enjoyed playing all kinds of cards, she also loved the ocean and the beach and loved to dance. She loved to golf and was an avid fan of Freddie Couples. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and especially enjoyed the service and music of the Saturday night service. She did volunteer work for the church and enjoyed Circle Group. Her greatest love was for her family, as she was a self confirmed worrier, and she cared for and always wanted the best for her family.
Surviving are her husband, Carl R. Blumenschein; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Pat Blumenschein of Florida; a granddaughter, Heather and Vince Gangi of Ashland; four great grandchildren, Aaron and his wife Tracy Gangi, Kyle Gangi, Kim Gangi and Josh Gangi; several nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Margie and Lou Krieg and Pat and Gaylord Strine. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Margaret and Cynthia; a brother, Jim Bemiller, a sister-in-law, Marge Bemiller; and her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Mary Blumenschein.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Jeff Messner. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
