Elaine Harding

Elaine Harding, 79, of Mansfield, died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at her home. Born March 8, 1927, in Mansfield, the daughter of Paul Sr. and Margaret Ratcliff Kurbad. An area homemaker all her life, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her pets. She also enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 59 ½ years, Charles Harding; two sons, Michael R. Kathleen Harding of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mark Harding of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Anson, Logan Harding of Pittsburgh and Delaine Harding of Mansfield; two great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Anson Jr. Harding, both of Pittsburgh; a brother, Paul Kurbad of Mansfield; two sisters-in-law, Edith Wisenberger of Mansfield and Beatrice Yohn of Amherst; a brother-in-law, Joseph Harding of Tampa, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Clayton and Dean Kurbad.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, officiated by Rev. Christopher Thomas. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
