Eleanor Marshall

Eleanor M. Marshall, 87, of Ashland, died early Wednesday morning, January 25, 2006, at Samaritan Regional Health System in Ashland following a brief illness. She was born January 5, 1919, in Ashland County to William 'W.P.' Raubenolt and Grace Bunyan Raubenolt. An Ashland area homemaker her entire life, Eleanor enjoyed making hand woven rugs, gardening, feeding and watching the birds and listening to André Rieu on television. She also enjoyed traveling visiting every one of the United States.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Anne and Marc Balas of Barberton, and Jane Kiplinger and her fiancé, Don Welch, both of Ashland; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, William L. and Lillian Raubenolt of Ashland; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Raubenolt of Ashland and Ruth Marshall of Bakersfield, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugh R. Marshall, whom she married November 27, 1941; brother, Doyle Raubenolt; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Marshall.

Private memorial services for family and friends will be held at a later date. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
