
Elmer Ray Robertson, 74, of 1528 Pear Place died Monday morning, May 1, 2000 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio following an extended illness. Mr. Robertson was born May 22, 1925 in Wayne County, West Virginia living in the Mansfield area for 55 years. He retired from Empire-Detroit Steel after 22 years and was a member of Lincoln Heights Church of Christ in Christian Union and American Legion Post 16. Mr. Robertson was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara E. Ousley Robertson of Mansfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine & Robert Robertson of Ashland; three sons and daughters-in-law, Doug & Becky Robertson, Mark & Marie Robertson, and Ray & Sherri Robertson, all of Mansfield; eleven grandchildren, Mellissa Johnson and her husband Matthew, Denise Finley and her husband Ed, Joshua Robertson, Sarah Robertson, Macy Robertson, Matthew Robertson, Emily Robertson, Luke Robertson, John Robertson, Amanda Robertson and Meghan Robertson; two great-grandchildren, Mason and MacKenton Johnson; his stepfather, Ralph Webb of Mansfield; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank & Gaye Robertson and James & Joanne Robertson, all of Mansfield, and Glen & Joyce Robertson of Howard, Ohio; a sister and brother-in-law, Maryetta & Jim Davis of Strongsville, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank D. Robertson and Maysie Thompson Webb.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 4, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Herman Copley. Military services will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Park.
