Born November 26, 1923 in Richland County, Ohio he was the son of William J. and Mary Victoria (Fuhrer) Sauder. A veteran of the United States Army, he served during World War II with the 5th Auxiliary Surgical Group, European Theatre receiving five major battle scars. He was self employed as an Auctioneer and Real Estate Broker retiring in 1988 and was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church on Illinois Avenue.
He is survived by a son, Tim (Amy) Sauder of Lucas; two daughters, Louetta (Arnold) Frontz of Arkansas and Marilyn (Keith) Barth of Galion; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (Susan) Sauder of Mansfield and Donald (Faye) Sauder of Nashville, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a great grandson; two brothers, Robert and Richard Sauder; and five sisters, Marie Fulk, Ruth Weiss, Mildred Dolce, Alice Graszl and Evelyn Manz.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Apostolic Christian Church on Illinois Avenue conducted by the church. Burial will follow in Lantz Cemetery.
