Ernest W. Santos, 88, of Lexington, died Friday, October 17, 2008 at Lexington Court Care Center. He was born December 27, 1919 in Stonington, Connecticut. Ernest was the youngest of nine children born to Antone J. and Julia A. Cunba Santos. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII in the Pacific Theater. Ernest attended Ashland University and retired as a salesman. He was a member of the American Legion Post #16 and 40 et 8. Ernest spent 25 years in California with his wife, Stella.
He is survived by one nephew, Howard Waltz, Jr. of Arizona; one niece; close friend and neighbor, Velma Robison and her children and grandchildren who considered Ernest part of their family; and friends, Lewis and Alice Ryan. He was preceded in death on December 25, 1986 by his wife, Stella Santos; and eight brothers and sisters.
