Estella Davis

Estella 'Stella' Lee Davis, 95, of Mansfield died Thursday morning, January 15, 2004 at Lexington Court Nursing Home. Mrs. Davis was born July 1, 1908 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Melvin and Martha Cline Conn. Stella attended the Hannah Road Church of God.

She is survived by a son, Talmadge Davis of Galion; two daughters and a son-in-law, Betty Jean Hellinger of Mansfield and Rose Ann and Martin Biddle Jr. of Crestline; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lionel Davis, whom she married August 24, 1924, and died May 24, 1978; four sons, Charles 'Wayne' Davis, Chalmer 'Stanton' Davis, James 'Delbert' Davis and Harold Davis; a daughter, Wilma Jane Davis; an adopted son, Glen Dale Davis; eight sisters, Sarah, Allie, Ginny, Margaret, Mahana, Annie, Pearl and Ethel; and three brothers, Bill, Allen and Bennie.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Floyd Skaggs. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
