
Esther L. Shrewsbury, 68, of Mansfield, died Friday April 4, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Shrewsbury was born March 31, 1933 in Shelby, Ohio residing in the Mansfield-Galion area most of her life. She retired from Rosewood Manor after 20 years of service as a nursing assistant. Mrs. Shrewsbury was a member of the First Church of God in Ontario, where she was active with the ladies group of the church known as 'Joy Fellowship'. She was a previous member of the Iberia Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Walter E. Shrewsbury of Mansfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Bachelder and Dennis Blackford of Galion; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Timothy and Cindy Pinyerd of Mt. Gilead; and Todd Pinyerd of Mansfield; three step daughters and one step son-in-law, Alisa and Aaron Reinhart of Lexington; Kimberly Reese of Mansfield; and Lynn Hardrick of Crestline; two step sons and step daughters-in-law, Mark and Roberta Shrewsbury of Crestline; and Fred and Valerie Shrewsbury of Fredericktown; six grandsons, David, Michael and Daniel Blackford; Josh Pinyerd; and Darron and Devon Reinhart; one granddaughter, Brandy Pinyerd; six step grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Pearl Irwin of Mt. Gilead; one sister, Mary Campbell of Minerva; two sisters-in-law, Dixie and Donna Mae Irwin both of Galion; one brother-in-law, Jesse James Shrewsbury of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Lucille French Irwin; two brothers, Dale and Harold Irwin; one brother-in-law, Don Campbell and an infant son, Anthony Ray Bachelder.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday evening April 7, 2003 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of God conducted by Pastor Larry Collins. Burial will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be to the Special Wish Foundation of Galion.
