
Esther B. Hembree Taylor, 80, of Mansfield died Sunday, September 15, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Taylor was born April 16, 1922 in Cawood, Kentucky and was a Mansfield area resident since 1945. She was a homemaker and lifetime member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post # 3494 and Amvets Post #26, Robert P. Spreng. Esther loved taking care of her dog, Suzie.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elsie and Carmon Lovett of Union, Kentucky; four grandsons, William Lovett and Chris Lovett of Union, Kentucky and Randy Lovett and Scott Lovett of Ohio; nine great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Barbara Cross and Kathy Crank, both of Mansfield; one special nephew, Edward Hembree of Mansfield; numerous great-nieces and nephews and good friends; her dog, Suzie; and a brother-in-law, Glenn Kendall of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Leroy Taylor in 1987, and her parents, Edward A. and Maggie Vandergriff Hembree.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Wednesday, September 18 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday at 10:00 a.m., conducted by Rev. Monty Perry. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
