
Evelyn E. Hunter, 88, of Mansfield, formerly of Canton, Ohio died early Tuesday morning, March 4, 2003 at Lexington Court Care Center. Mrs. Hunter was born January 28, 1915 in New Straitsville, Ohio to the late Firmen and Nora Boring Lambert. She was a Mansfield area resident since 1996 and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting. Evelyn was a member of Market Heights United Church of Christ in Canton and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ginny and David W.D. Brown of Mansfield; a son, Earl J. Hunter of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Eric Hunter and his wife, Cindy Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina and Scott Michael Brown of Shaker Heights, Ohio; a brother, Carl R. Lambert of Falls Church, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Janet Lambert of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl T. Hunter and two brothers, Floyd and Henry Lambert.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday, March 6 from 4-7 p.m. Graveside services conducted by Rev. Theresa Woods will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Canton, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to North Central Ohio Hospice.
