Evelyn LaDonna Kissel Thompson, 80, of Ontario, died Tuesday July 8, 2003 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation following an extended illness. Mrs. Thompson was born November 1, 1922 in Ontario, residing in the area all of her life. She was a 1942 graduate of Ontario High School and retired from the Ohio Sate Reformatory after 25 years of service. She was also a professional photographer graduating from the Kodak Institute. Mrs. Thompson attended First Christian Church. Evelyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend; her love of life and family was evident throughout her life.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Robert C. Thompson; and one daughter, Cynthia Thompson both of Ontario. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Grace Kissel; a son, Ronald Fisher; and two brothers, Howard and Donald Kissel.
Friends may call the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday July 14, 2003 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Edward O. Hale. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
