Faye Maggard

Faye L. Maggard, 85, of Mansfield, went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 24, 2012 at Liberty Nursing Center. Born June 24, 1927 in Olive Hill, KY, she was the daughter of Homer and Mallie (Boyd) McGlone. Faye worked as a cook for Mansfield Memorial Homes. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Alice Hamm, Glenna Maggard, and Richard Boyd, all of Mansfield and Billy Boyd of Yulee, FL; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Alma Lawhorn of Bellville, Martha Miller of Ontario, Nellie (Louis) Strubhar and Ruby Ball, both of Mansfield, and Dorothy Boyd of Galion; brother, Donald J. (Marcia) Boyd of Crestline; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles (Jean) Boyd; brothers, Simon and Luther Boyd; and step sister, Mabel Hayes.

Friends may call Friday, September 28, 2012 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Graveside services will be held Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Al Humble.
