Faye Zimmerman

Born July 6, 1930 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Howard and Naomi (Weaver) Sheldon. Faye was a graduate of Madison High School. An area homemaker, she enjoyed crafts and shopping. Faye was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved her little dog, Gidget, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Lorri) Zimmerman of Spring Hill, FL, Tom (Robbin) Zimmerman of Mansfield, and Melissa (Ronnie) Phillips, of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jonathan Zimmerman, Christopher (Jessica) Zimmerman, Sabrina Moured, Carlye (Sean) Watson; and Kyle Mills; great granddaughters, Annie and Ryleigh Faye; brother, Don (Shirley) Sheldon of Brewton, AL; and her two favorite cousins, Mary Sue and Jean “Cuddy”. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 1998.

Friends may call Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor John Dodds. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
