Florence "Mitze" Laverne Hutchinson

Florence “Mitze” Laverne Hutchinson, 91, of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Florence was born on July 30, 1931 in Weirton, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Frederick and Florence (Thomas) Reiter. She retired from Peabody Barnes, and was a member of Community Bible Church. Florence was very family oriented and cherished the times she shared making memories with her family. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had many fond memories of camping and traveling with her late husband, Jerry. She loved being a “Winter Texan.” She enjoyed listening and dancing to Polka music. She is survived by her children, Randy (Jamie) Hutchinson and Pam (Ken) Pelasky; her grandchildren, Brandy (Matt) Grove, Ken (Colleen) Pelasky Jr., and Joseph Pelasky; and her great-grandchildren, Grayson Grove, Owen Grove, Evan Pelasky, and Ryan Pelasky. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Hutchinson; her son, Tim Hutchinson; and her sister, Shirleen Subich. The family would like to give a special thanks to Mitze’s wonderful neighbors, Elijah and Kathy McDonald. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 am-12:00 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Pastor Sam Belsterling will officiate the funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
