
Frank Andrew Hoffer, 79, of Sherman Avenue died Tuesday morning September 21, 1999 at MedCentral Mansfield following a brief illness. Mr. Hoffer was born May 31, 1920 in Mansfield, OH and has resided in the area all his life. He was a retired Auto Body repair manager. Mr. Hoffer was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, American Red Cross, Mansfield Evening Lions, Mansfield Auxiliary Police and a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Mary W. 'Billie' Lowrey Hoffer; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Jerry & Janet Hoffer of Lucas, Joe & Toni Hoffer of Mansfield; Jim A. Hoffer of Hudson, Ohio and Jeff & Sue Hoffer of Lexington; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Mae Hoffer of Mansfield; a sister-in-law, Terry Hoffer of Mansfield; three grandsons, Jeremy G. Hoffer of Bolivar, Ohio, Jared Hoffer & Jesse Hoffer both of Mansfield; four granddaughters, Heidi C. Hoffer Dalton of Sarasota, Florida, Carrie L. Hoffer of Mansfield, Candace A. Hoffer & Joetta Hoffer both of Mansfield; a great-granddaughter, Hannah L. Stevens. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Theresa Felber Hoffer; and a brother, Joseph L. Hoffer. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday September 23, 1999 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Friday September 24, 1999 at 10:00am at the funeral home, conducted by St. Peter's Catholic Church. Military graveside services will be held at Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Chapter American Red Cross.
