
Garland Thompson, age 61, died Wednesday afternoon, November 3, 2004 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. He was born March 3, 1943, in Wayne County, West Virginia to Winnie and Ollie Lambert Thompson. He loved to whittle and collect pictures and especially enjoyed helping others. He was employed with Flxible in Loudonville
He is survived by his wife, Betty Thompson; three sons, William Eugene Thompson of Shelby, Scotty Lee Thompson of Tenn. and Garland William Thompson, Jr.; a stepdaughter, Eathe Mae Heiser; two grandchildren, Carissa Smith of Mansfield; and Jalene Thompson of Shelby; three sisters, Gladys Kitts, Jennie Bell Cyrus and Cora Jean Cyrus, all of Fort Gay, W. Va.; and three brothers, Ernie Thompson of Mansfield, Elzia Thompson of Fort Gay and Enos Thompson of Huntington, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, November 4, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Larry Keinath. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
