Gary Lee Kimes

He was born December 23, 1950, in Crestline, Ohio, and graduated from Ontario High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Gary loved to work in his garden and was a wonderful cook. He was an avid hunter. Gary was his own person and never met a stranger. He had a big heart and loved to make people laugh. He showed his strength in every challenge throughout his life.

In addition to his wife of 33 years, he is survived by his children, Robin Taylor of PA, Scott Kimes of TX, Tony, Nick and Andy Kimes, all of OH; sisters, Jackie Tawse of PA and Brenda Fraley of OH; brother, Bill (Jan) Kimes of NC; numerous grandchildren; many friends; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his son, Chase Covey Kimes; and his parents, William A. and Dixie L. (Lacey) Kimes.

A memorial service conducted by Rev. Terry Garrett will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Mansfield First Assembly of God, 1000 McPherson St., Mansfield. The family requests memorial contributions be made in care of the funeral home for the family.
