Gary was a 1981 graduate of Ashland High School. He worked for the Ashland City Street Department and the Ashland Sanitation Department. He was an avid NASCAR fan with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver and also enjoyed all of the Ohio NFL and Baseball teams.
Gary is survived by his son, Jeffery (Stephanie) Metcalf; daughter, Lindsey Metcalf (Jon Vanetta); six grandchildren, Zeven, Gracelynn, Bryson, Bayah, Aaliyah and Isabella; two sisters, Terri Metcalf (Bip Nommay) and Anita (Eric) Holman; a nephew, Justin (Mallory) Messner; two nieces, Vanessa Messner and Kayleigh Lewis; his former wife and friend, Janna Metcalf; and special friends, Skip and Janet Borling.
Wappner Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
