Gayle Tryon

Gayle E. Tryon, 65, of Mansfield, died Monday, September 14, 2009 at OSU Medical Center after an extended illness. Born July 26, 1944 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Willis F. and Helen M. Rachael Tryon. She loved crocheting, playing computer games and BINGO, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her siblings, Patricia Foley of Cleveland, Joyce Burt Nichols of Mansfield, Barb Judson Schaefer of Lexington, Willis A. Donita Tryon of Mansfield, Nancy Ed Smith of Mansfield, Margaret Bob Ritter of Mansfield, Marlene Bob Hoffman of Bellville, Carlene Cater of Tennessee, Robert Sherry Workman Tryon of Mansfield, Larry J. Rose Tryon of Manatola, Canada, Brother John Tryon of Notre Dame, IN, and Debi Bruce Pugh of Perrysville; many nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Derick Pugh; and many great nieces and great nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel D. and Dennis L. Tryon, and sister, Mary K. Thompson.

Friends may call Friday, September 18, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A vigil service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Snows Catholic Church conducted by Father Robert Dendinger. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
