
George W. Pamer, age 85, of Mansfield, died Tuesday January 9, 2007 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. Mr. Pamer was born October 29, 1921 in Mansfield where he lived all of his life. He attended Lucas High School where in fact all of his children graduated. Mr. Pamer served in the United States Army during World War II where he received three bronze medals for services performed in the South Pacific as a medic. After serving in the Army, Mr. Pamer spent his life as a local building contractor. His true love and service was with the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mr. Pamer was the senior choir director of the Apostolic Christian Church on Middle-Bellville Road for 41 years. He was also a minister of the Gospel for over 20 years. Mr. Pamer's passion for building included helping to build 17 Apostolic Churches throughout the United States and Canada. His hobbies included gardening and fishing with those he loved.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Katherine A. Boliantz Pamer; two daughters and a son-in-law, Claudia and Peter Green of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Margaret Peggy Bence of San Diego, California; three sons and daughters-in-law, David & Barbara Pamer of Bellville, Ohio, Thomas & Eleanor Pamer of Mansfield, Ohio and Jon and Ruth Pamer of Waldorf, MD; twelve grandchildren, Lisa Gumzar, Suzanne Sauder, Mathias & MacKenizie Pamer, Megan Walker, Andrew, Michael, Daniel, Greg, & Katie Pamer, Christopher & Morgan Bence; six great-grandchildren; three sisters and brother-in-law, Sue Pavkov, Sophie Sabo, both of Mansfield, and Helen George Pavkov of Doylestown; and brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Betty Pamer of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathias & Susan Freund Pamer; three sisters, Irene Betz, Margaret Nagy & Emily Hill, a brother, Lawrence Pamer and a great-grandson, Jordon Sauder.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday January 19, 2007 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 20, 2007 at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1332 Middle-Bellville Road, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions on behalf of George Pamer may be made to the Mansfield Habitat for Humanity and Richland Pregnancy Services.
