George Robert Weimer

George R. Weimer, 72, of Mansfield, OH, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 after a long illness. Born on September 8, 1951 in New York City, he was the son of the late William and Mildred Weimer.

Raised in Middletown, New Jersey and St. Clairsville, Ohio, George attended West Virginia University. He served in the United States Army and went on to live and work for many years in Bethel Park, PA.

He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and was thrilled to be at Three River Stadium for the Immaculate Reception.

After moving to Mansfield, George most recently worked at Lowes and Home Depot. George played in the Tuesday Richland County “A” League at Pebble Creek.

George was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Paul. He is survived by his siblings, John (Donna) of Charlotte, NC, Jeanne Nikolich (Bob) of Jefferson Hills, PA and JoAnne Lifer (Mike) of Butler, OH and a sister-in-law, Laurie Weimer of Portland, Oregon. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Jason, Lisa, Amy, Taryn, Amanda (David), Daniel, and Abby (James). He will be missed by friends Mary, Stacy, Mike and Brian.

The family is very appreciative to Carol Williams for the care and friendship she gave George during his final years.
