Gerhard R. Langer, 86, of Bellville, died Tuesday evening, January 10, 2006 at Morrow County Hospital in Mt. Gilead. Born November 5, 1919 in Tschischdorf, Germany, he was the son of Richard T. and Emilie Lienig Langer. He lived in the area since 1953 and was a farmer. Mr. Langer was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret E. Stocker Langer; one son, Richard Langer; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Matthew Quinn; four grandchildren, Christian Melissa Langer, Greg Amanda Foltz, Adam Quinn, and Gabrielle Quinn; one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Langer; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Pastor Renato Siewert. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
