Gladys Campbell

Gladys E. Campbell, 85, of Lucas, OH died unexpectedly Thursday, October 5, 2000. She was born October 14, 1914 in Chetopa, Kansas to John W. & Ida Gertrude Watson Herre. Mrs. Campbell was a retired real estate agent for Mansfield Realty. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, and also taught Sunday school classes. She dearly loved teaching as well as spending time with her family.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Smith of Virginia Beach, VA, Dorothy & Charles Blum of Galion, OH and Charlotte & Hugo Byers of Amherst, OH; a son and daughter-in-law, Denny & Dottie Campbell of Loudonville, OH; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jacob A. Campbell on September 12, 2000; two sisters, Lynette Heinberger and Helen Poling; and three brothers, Wayne, Lester and Harold Herre.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to the service which will be held Thursday, October 12, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Brian Dadlow. Burial will be held at Mansfield Cemetery.
