
Gladys Taylor Joyce, 89, of 2124 Park Ave West died Thursday evening, August 23, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield after a brief illness. Mrs. Joyce was born October 18, 1911 in Algoma, West Virginia. She retired from MedCentral's Pediatric Department after 11 years and was employed prior to that as a nurses aid in Virginia.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Elaine Jackson and Charlotte & Gerald McKown, all of Ontario; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Karen Etzwiler, Theresa Jackson, Taylor Joyce, Christine & Bud May, Lori & Larry Stauffer, Melanie & Charlie Brinegar, and Steve & Margaret McKown; nine great-grandchildren, Adele Mohler, Meri Etzwiler, Erin Casey, Daniel, Jenna, and Julianne Stauffer, Charlie and Rachel Brinegar, and Khristy McKown; two great great-grandchildren, Nick and Emily; four sisters, Regina Helber, Dorothy Amon, Edna Grace, and Margaret Benjamin, all of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brown & Lillie Mae Hylton Taylor; her husband, William R. Joyce; a daughter, Norma Joyce; a son, Curtis William Joyce; two sisters; and three brothers.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Ralph Barlow, assisted by Bud May. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
