
Gladys P. Miller, 83, of Lucas, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at her home after a brief illness. Born August 10, 1923 in Drill, Virginia, she was the daughter of Miles and Molly Keene Horne. Gladys was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lucas. She retired from Mansfield Plumbing Products. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, flowers, cooking, crocheting, camping, and fishing.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jerry Banks of Lucas; two grandchildren, Bryon and Kerry Banks of Chardon and Bobby and Brigette Banks of Lucas; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rachel; four sisters-in-law, Juanita Horne of Honaker, VA, Ruth Bohm, Katherine and Bud Bingaman and Helen and Ken Atherton, all of Michigan; three brothers-in-law, Herschel and Jean Miller of Ontario, Paul and Midge Miller of Loudonville and Harry and Bonnie Miller of Michigan; a number of nieces and nephews including special niece, Molly Horne of Centerburg; and special granddogs, Colt and Abby. Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert R. Miller in 2004, her parents, and three brothers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 8 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Dr. David Aune. Burial will follow in Vermillion Cemetery, Hayesville. Memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice, 335 Glessner Ave., Mansfield, OH 44903.
