
Gladys Jean Miller, 76, of 1315 N. Stewart Road died at home Tuesday morning, April 3, 2001 after an extended illness. Mrs. Miller was born July 25, 1924 in Rossville, Georgia living in the Mansfield area most of her life. She graduated from Mansfield General School of Nursing in 1962 and retired from nursing in 1984. Mrs. Miller was a member of First Church of the Brethren and had been active in Frauen Chor.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Miller, Sr.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diana & Paul Tuggey of Cleveland Heights, and Janet & Tom Fields and Kristi & Mark Robinson, all of Mansfield; a stepson, John William Miller, Jr. of Norfolk, Virginia; three grandchildren, Christina Kay Tuggey and her fiancé, Jason Hidek of Bedford, Ohio, Jonathan Reed Tuggey and his fiancée Sarah Wildermuth of Albany, New York, and Tanya Miller Mills and her husband, Michael of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one great-grandson, Jackson Reed Tuggey; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Delia Burkhart Gass; and a brother 'Chick' Gass.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at First Church of the Brethren, 889 Grace Street conducted by Revs. Terry Vaught, Clyde Fry, and Faith Proietti. Family will receive friends at 1315 N. Stewart Road immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice or First Church of the Brethren.
