Glenn O. Baker, 79, the Messenger from Shiloh and 1st General Overseer to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ under Gerusalem Order, at Richland County, by the revelation of Jesus Christ, went to be with the One who called him from his mother's womb. Born March 3, 1932 in Mansfield, he was the son of the late Florence Coffey and Otis Baker. He lived his life not deviating from the purpose for which God called him in trying to persuade all those who would hear, that the God of heaven wants to, and will, talk to and lead His people. The vision that God gave Brother Baker for Gerusalem Order was to bring individuals to the place that God, not man, was leading them; to the place that God was ruling in peace from their center. Glenn was formerly employed with AK Steel for 40 years and was the head operator of strand anneal in the south plant. An avid fisherman, Glenn was a member of several fishing clubs in the Cleveland area, most notably the Guppy Tales Fish Club.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Meyer Baker; seven children, Glenn G. Joann Baker of Willard, Cheryl J. Harmon of Mansfield, Scott Baker of Bellville, Shereen Tim Hall of Delaware, Jilean Timothy Barker of Newport Richey, FL, Christopher Metchlyn Baker of Mansfield and Heidi Baker of Norwalk; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Baker; and three sisters, Shirlene Kowalski, Beverly Wilson and Brenda Benepe. He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Cindra Baker and Rebecca Hunt; and seven brothers and sisters.
