
Glenn D. 'Doc' Cline, of Mansfield, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born April 7, 1919 in Millersburg, he was the son of Ishmael D. and Mary E. Norris Cline. Mr. Cline served in the U.S. Air Force in WWII in Panama and the Galapagos Islands. He retired from Ohio Brass Company. Mr. Cline was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, teacher, trustee and song leader. He also worked with the youth in the church. An avid golfer, he caddied at Westbrook County Club as a boy.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor Johns Cline and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ormal, Wayne, Woodrow, and Raymond; sisters, Alice Curry, Flossie Thrush, Laura Nelson, Carolyn 'Carrie' Cline, and Edith Early.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Ron Puff. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church or MedCentral Hospice.
