
Goldie 'Granny' Phillips, 84, of 439 Warren Road died Friday morning, June 28, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield after an extended illness. Mrs. Phillips was born July 20, 1917 in Strausburg, Ohio living in the Mansfield area most of her life. She retired from General Motors cafeteria and was a member of Hillside Church of God. She loved her family and enjoyed flowers.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur & Sue Phillips of Shelby and Ken & Kay Phillips of Mansfield; two daughters and a son-in-law, June & Eugene Cole and Dora Naomi Parsons, all of Mansfield; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Hay of Mansfield; and two brothers, Joe and Dick Perry, both of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Letha Crank Perry; her husband, Virgil Phillips; a son, Roger Phillips; a daughter, Willa Phillips; a granddaughter, Marlene Crank; a grandson, Larry Cole; a son-in-law, R.C. Parsons; three brothers, Ralph, Arnold and Bob Perry; a sister, Emileen Gee; and an infant sister.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Glenn Phillips. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillside Church of God.
