Grace Virginia Brown

Grace Virginia Brown, 96, of Petersburg, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born January 17, 1920 in Pike County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Robert and Bessie R. (Valentine) Seders.

A homemaker, she was a member of Petersburg Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon for many years. She enjoyed camping, word search puzzles, reading, and bowling ~ bowling into her 80's. She had also enjoyed playing cards and often hosted a card club in her home.

She is survived by three children, Lois Jean Yargo, Robert W. (Rose) Brown and Nancy L. Francis; four grandchildren, Pam (Troy) Bouchard, Bob Francis, Laura Day and Matt (Sara) Day; 13 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William Brown; a sister, Anna (Ben) Guy; a son-in-law, John D. Yargo; a close cousin, Mina Burkey; and many other loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at Petersburg Presbyterian Church, Petersburg, Ohio with the family receiving friends starting at 4:00 p.m. Following the service, an open house will be until 9:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Petersburg Presbyterian Church.
